Job Title: Senior Java Programmer

Location: Chandler, AZ

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Programmer to join a Core Technology Infrastructure team focused on cloud and container engineering. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to API‑driven infrastructure solutions and modern platform technologies while supporting agile, sprint‑based delivery of lightweight containerized runtime environments, including OpenJDK, .NET, Apache, and Tomcat.

• Design, develop, and support enterprise cloud and container platform technologies.
• Build and maintain Java‑based microservices that support internal cloud infrastructure.
• Develop API‑driven infrastructure solutions using modern software engineering practices.
• Support the delivery and maintenance of lightweight container base images and runtime platforms.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, and platform enhancement initiatives.

• Strong experience developing Java‑based microservices and backend applications.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and transactional backend development.
• Experience working with container‑based platforms such as Kubernetes, Open Shift, Docker, or Podman.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Terraform Enterprise (TFE).
• Experience with Golang development.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation best practices.
• Experience using Git source control, branching strategies, merge requests, and pull request workflows.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and systems automation.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments, including standups, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
• Experience with Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks such as Cucumber.

• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in large‑scale enterprise technology environments.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platform engineering, container technologies, and infrastructure automation.
