Automation Engineer
This position is for an Automation Engineer to design, build, and optimize automation solutions that accelerate vendor product certification and reduce security risk. The role is instrumental in enabling rapid, compliant certification and release cycles through scalable and repeatable automation. The engineer will leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate productivity, automate code generation, and streamline documentation and compliance workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated certification pipelines for vendor products such as Kafka, MQ, and Tibco.
- Leverage AI tools like Copilot and Claude to accelerate development and generate automation code.
- Build and maintain reusable automation frameworks and modules for scalable certification and validation workflows.
- Automate CVE validation, patch verification, and security remediation to improve response time.
- Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, for continuous validation.
- Partner with Security and Platform Engineering to define certification criteria and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with vendor partners to ensure consistent certification practices.
- Generate compliance artifacts, reports, and audit evidence.
- Continuously improve automation efficiency, reliability, and observability.
Required Qualifications
Experience in automation engineering, building scalable workflows and reusable frameworks. Proven experience in security automation, including CVE validation, patching, and compliance evidence generation. Practical experience using AI coding assistants. Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows. Experience operating in regulated or audit-driven environments.
Technical Skills
Hands-on expertise with Python, Ansible, or Java. A solid understanding of Linux, shell scripting, and networking fundamentals is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook is also necessary.
Work Environment
This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
