Role Description

This is a full-time in-office role for a Staff Accountant located in Chanhassen, MN. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed financial records, processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling bank statements, assisting in month-end close processes, and supporting regulatory and financial reporting. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with internal controls and providing financial analysis to support operational decisions.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and experience assisting with month-end and year-end closings
  • Experience with accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing financial data and identifying discrepancies or trends
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in the insurance industry or with fiduciary accounting is advantageous
