We are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to join the AES Project Engineering group. In this role, you will create designs and technical drawings for chemical dispense systems and blending equipment. You will work closely with engineers to improve manufacturing systems, implement customer specifications, and support the assembly floor. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on designer who is highly proficient in Solid Works and comfortable creating and editing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Key Responsibilities- Design & Modeling
- Use Solid Works to create and modify mechanical drawings from concepts and red‑lined documents
- Create and maintain mechanical area layouts
- P& & Documentation
- Read, edit, and create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and schematics
- Follow and contribute to mechanical design best practices
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Create and review mechanical Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy
- Recommend mechanical components according to selection standards
- Change Management
- Initiate, update, and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Maintain and update process documentation
- Manufacturing Support
- Interface directly with production employees to resolve design issues as needed
- Project Support
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure implementation of customer specifications
- Participate in design reviews
- 3+ years of experience in equipment design, industrial machinery, or related industries
- Associate’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering‑related field
- Strong ability to read and create/edit P&IDs, schematics, and product documentation
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering and production teams
- Semiconductor equipment experience
- Experience with Agile/PLM systems
- CSWA or CSWP certification
- Solid Works proficiency
- AutoCAD (2D)
