Job Description

We are hiring a CAD Designer for an onsite role in Chanhassen, MN!

• $35 - $50 per hour pay rate
• Full Time
• Contract - 1 year
• Schedule:
  
  M-F CST 8am - 4:30pm
• Onsite in Chanhassen MN

• 3+ years of experience in equipment design, industrial machinery, or related industries (Semiconductor equipment experience is a plus).
• Associate's degree in a Mechanical Engineering related field.
• Proficiency in Solid Works (CSWA/CSWP preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D). Experience with Agile/PLM systems is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and create/edit PandIDs, schematics, and other product documentation.
• Solid Works and SW PDM Experience
• Being able to understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PandID)
• Familiarity with design intent and Design for X in an assembly work environment

• Design and Modeling:
  Use Solid Works to create and modify mechanical drawings from concepts and "red-lined" documents. Create and maintain mechanical area layouts.
• PandID and Documentation:
  Read, edit, and create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PandIDs), schematics. Follow and contribute to mechanical design Best Practices.
• BOM:
  Create and review mechanical Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and aid in mechanical components recommendations according to selection standards.
• Change Management:
  Initiate, update, and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and process documentation.
• Manufacturing Support:
  Interface directly with production employees to resolve design issues as needed.
• Project Support:
  Work in conjunction with the engineering team to ensure implementation of customer specifications, plus aid in design reviews.
