Job Summary
W e are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to join the AES Project Engineering group. This role focuses on designing and developing chemical dispense systems and blending equipment. The designer will collaborate closely with engineers to enhance manufacturing systems, implement customer specifications, and provide support to the assembly floor.
Job Description
- Create and modify mechanical drawings using Solid Works based on concepts and red-lined documents.
- Develop and maintain mechanical area layouts.
- Apply Design for X principles within an assembly work environment.
- Read, create, and edit Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and schematics.
- Follow and contribute to established mechanical design best practices.
- Create and review mechanical BOMs for accuracy.
- Recommend mechanical components according to selection standards.
- Initiate, update, and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Maintain and update associated process documentation.
- Interface directly with production teams to resolve design-related issues as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering to implement customer specifications.
- Participate in and support design reviews.
- 3+ years of experience in equipment design, industrial machinery, or related industries
- Semiconductor equipment experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Solid Works (CSWA/CSWP preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D)
- Experience with Agile/PLM systems is a plus
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams
- Associates Mechanical Engineering Degree
- O ffice
- Solid Works and Solid Works PDM experience (required)
- Ability to read and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Strong understanding of design intent and Design for X in an assembly environment
- $35 - $50 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
