About the Role:As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during events and special occasions. Your primary objective is to ensure that guests receive attentive, courteous, and efficient service in a timely manner, contributing to the overall success of each banquet or event. You will collaborate closely with the banquet team, including kitchen staff and event coordinators, to execute event plans flawlessly.
This role demands adaptability to various event settings, from formal dinners to large receptions, maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude throughout. Ultimately, your efforts will help create memorable experiences that encourage repeat business and uphold the venue's reputation for excellence.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality, preferably in banquet or event settings.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Must be available to work at least two available shifts per month
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in food safety or hospitality service.
- Experience working in a high-volume banquet or catering environment.
- Knowledge of formal dining service techniques and etiquette.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Multilingual skills to assist diverse guest populations.
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and place settings.
- Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and courteously, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are accommodated.
- Assist in clearing tables and resetting them between courses or events while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with kitchen and event staff to coordinate timing and delivery of menu items during service.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests professionally, providing information about menu items and event details as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with post-event cleanup and breakdown of banquet areas to prepare for subsequent events.
$15.00 an hour + Pooled Tips (Dividied based on hours worked for the event)
