Eastern Carver County Schools' Building and Grounds Department is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for all students, staff and visitors. Our team provides daily support to maintain building systems and structures, service the grounds, provide custodial services, oversee construction and renovation projects, maintain compliance with building and fire codes, safety and environmental regulations, oversee security and fire alarm systems in all buildings.

- Wednesday:2:45pm - 11:15pm & Saturday
- Sunday:2:00pm - 10:30pm
Salary: $25.21/hr.+ $0.40/hr. shift differential
Responsible To: Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds, Custodial Supervisor/Head Engineer/Night Lead/Building Principal

Under general supervision, perform maintenance and cleaning tasks and operation of various types of cleaning equipment to care for and maintain assigned buildings and related facilities; and perform related work as required. You may be assigned to work at different buildings depending on the needs of the district.

• Lift 70 lbs waist height occasionally
• Lift 50 lbs to chest high regularly
• Extended walking
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals
• Must be in good general health
• Previous experience in cleaning and building maintenance
• Possess a valid and appropriate level of the State of MN Boilers license and Certified Pool Operator License or obtain within a reasonable timeline

This position is posted as a full-time (40 hrs/week), twelve (12) month position. In addition, the pay includes additional pay for each level of boilers license and other applicable license when licenses are obtained. Eligible for benefits as negotiated with Union Local 70 and District 112 plus enrollment in Minnesota's largest retirement pension! This position is eligible for overtime and comp time.
