Position Overview

In this position, you will serve as a hands‑on leader and coach, working closely with the Fabrication Manager to train your team on efficient workflows while keeping a sharp eye on the bottom line. Success requires a balance of strong people skills to mentor your staff and solid business acumen to manage variable costs, minimise material waste and justify future resource investments.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Problem‑solving skills in determining better, more efficient workflows with high standards
  • Accountable and shows ownership of work commitments
  • Strong collaborator, embraces teamwork by working with people to create unique solutions
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects and change priorities quickly as needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Motivate, mentor, coach and train employees for professional development, employee engagement, and the creation of a safe and inclusive environment
  • Set high performance expectations and provide feedback, both positive and constructive to ensure those expectations are met
  • Work closely with leads, as well as other production area leadership, in prioritising and directing department workflow
  • Support a safe environment, driving towards 0 OSHA recordables
  • Maintain high quality standards
  • Ensure assembly and machine throughput quality and integrity through continuous monitoring of departmental processes in conjunction with the production or assembly lead
  • Oversee the maintenance of appropriate levels of supplies to meet production requirements
  • Establish open lines of communication with the production floor
  • Represent corporate policy and communicate it to employees as required
  • Ensure training and skills matrix are in compliance with training policy
  • Work toward continuous improvement
  • Monitor efficiency and productivity and implement improvements
  • Implement cost reductions where possible
  • Drive improvements in material flow, including cell design and material delivery; interact with other support departments as required
  • Provide the cost/benefit analysis for the acquisition of new equipment and ensure the team is trained on the equipment as the subject matter expert
  • Troubleshoot production problems to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
  • Step in as needed to work on the line
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by others in management

Compensation

Compensation Range: $64,500–$68,000 annually. Range reflects our good‑faith assessment of our hiring range for this role based on market conditions, experience level, and internal equity considerations.
