Union Assembler - 2nd Shift

2nd shift Mon-Fri: 2:45pm-11:15pm

$23.50/hour

Union Position with Union Fees

Minimum Education and/or Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent.

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic Math Skills
• Manufacturing, Mill shop, Construction and Carpentry Experience (Preferred)
• Experience positioning parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements
• Must possess carpentry skills and knowledge of working carpentry tools
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work well under pressure
• Team player with aptitude for multi‑tasking, meeting deadlines, and building relationships
• Detail oriented
• Demonstrates initiative and flexibility
• Strong problem‑solving skills and effective time management
• Ability to stand for 8–10+ hour work shifts
• Some roles require regularly lifting 40+ lbs; all positions require bending, twisting, squatting and reaching throughout the shift
• Willing to train the right candidate

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifies supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follows manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoots malfunctions; calls for repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed supplies; places and expedites orders for supplies; verifies receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Works in a safe manner always and consistently provides a safe work environment.
