Job Summary

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA) is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Development Operations Associate to help advance our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This role serves as the operational backbone of the Development team, ensuring that gifts are processed accurately, donor information is maintained with integrity, and supporters receive timely and meaningful acknowledgment of their generosity.

The Development Operations Associate plays an important role in creating a positive donor experience while providing the data, reporting, and administrative support that help the Development team build strong relationships and achieve fundraising goals. This position works closely with colleagues across the organization to support fundraising activities, maintain accurate donor and financial records, coordinate community engagement efforts, and strengthen relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners through responsive communication, thoughtful coordination, and consistent follow-through.

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres – MORA – is a diverse and inclusive nonprofit that has supported adults, seniors and children with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs as well as age‑related and chronic medical conditions for over 50 years in the Twin Cities metro.

MORA provides an array of services:
Adult Day Services, Contracted Case Management, Community Supports, over 30 Residential Homes, Respite, Therapeutic Recreation, Training for Guardians & Families, and a Discover Summer Daytime Programming for Youth with Disabilities. Our Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP) offers a safety net of crucial and cost‑effective services for adults and children.

Schedule

Fulltime, 40 hour per week flexible hybrid position. Core responsibilities are performed during regular business hours. Occasional evening or weekend event support is required with advance planning. Employees may structure their workday to meet both organizational and personal needs, while maintaining 16‑20 hours per week in the Chanhassen office.

Hourly Starting Pay Rate

$27.00-$30.00 hour depending on qualifications

Key Duties and Responsibilities Gift Processing & Donor Stewardship
  • Process and record donations, pledges, matching gifts, and in‑kind contributions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and distribute donor acknowledgments, tax receipts, and stewardship communications.
  • Support donor recognition and stewardship efforts.
  • Respond to donor inquiries and help ensure a positive and professional donor experience.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to support accurate gift reconciliation, reporting, and record management.
Database Management & Reporting
  • Maintain the integrity of donor data through ongoing review, updates, and quality control.
  • Generate fundraising reports, mailing lists, donor analytics, and campaign data.
  • Track donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
  • Support fundraising audits, reconciliations, and reporting needs.
Development Operations
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Development team and fundraising initiatives.
  • Support fundraising campaigns, appeals, donor engagement activities, and prospect research.
  • Manage the Development email inbox and coordinate donor, volunteer, and community partner communications.
  • Partner with colleagues across departments to coordinate fundraising activities, community engagement efforts, and organizational priorities.
  • Support board and volunteer committees by coordinating logistics, communications, meeting materials, follow‑up activities, and record‑keeping as directed by the Director of Development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, solve problems proactively, and help the Development team operate efficiently and effectively.
