Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Drywall and Painting Craftsman to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will help homeowners and local businesses complete critical drywall installation, repair, patching, and painting projects. This position offers the independence of field work combined with the stability, W-2 status, and support of a locally owned business backed by the national Ace Hardware brand.

On a day-to-day basis, you will travel to scheduled residential and commercial jobs in the local area. You will evaluate drywall and painting needs, explain the repair process to customers, and complete the work efficiently. Your daily tasks will include installing small amounts of sheetrock, patching holes, tape and mud, applying quick mud, matching textures, and painting walls or trim to a professional finish.
You will maintain a clean workspace and leave the customer's property in excellent condition.
Over time, success means building trust with our clients, many of whom request their favorite Craftsmen by name for repeat projects. You will use your expertise to spot other potential maintenance issues around a customer's property, helping them protect their investment and coordinating with our office to secure additional work.
Compensation and BenefitsPay Range: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
W-2 employee status, providing legal protections and stability
Flexible part-time scheduling within Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no weekend work)

Requirements What you need to bring (Must-Haves):- Proven experience with drywall repair, including tape-and-mud applications, quick mud, and texture matching.
- Proficiency in interior wall painting, trim painting, and basic surface preparation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain repair options clearly and professionally to customers and office staff.
- A professional and reliable approach, including punctuality, honesty, and an organized work style.
- A reliable vehicle suitable for carrying tools to various job sites.
- The core hand and power tools necessary to complete standard drywall and painting tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to address unexpected job site challenges independently.
- Basic knowledge of other residential trades, such as light carpentry, tile, light plumbing, light electrical, or flooring.
- Experience using professional paint sprayers.
