Thales has a vacancy for a Material Handler to provide material handling, inventory, warehousing, and shipping/receiving support to the site.
Key Areas of Responsibility- Responsible for the movement of materials throughout THALES property.
- Responsibilities include receiving, transporting, stacking, staging, shipping, cycle counting, inventory control, replenishment, and maintaining stock records in the warehouse.
- Responsible for transfers of material between three warehouses. Provide timely and adequate supplies to the operations areas in both THALES production facilities.
- Maintain proper level of needed materials and supplies in the warehouses to ensure there is no interruption to production. Maintain FIFO on all production materials. Organize, clean and adjust material positions within the warehouses as needed.
- Follow all required security procedures involving incoming and outbound shipments. Work as a security escort when needed. Participate in regular cycle counts and year‑end inventory counts. Process inbound and outbound shipments for entry into Oracle ERP system.
- Coordinate with external partners for courier shipments and 3PL warehousing. Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to be certified on forklift and pallet jacks.
- Ability to plan ahead and utilize time effectively.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Detailed and accurate counting abilities.
- Basic computer skills.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of shipping systems (Fed Ex, UPS, LTL) and ERP (Oracle).
- Minimum one‑year warehouse experience.
- LEAN manufacturing experience.
Position Requirements
- Schedule:
8:30 – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday - Physical Environment:
Ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
