Alpont Transportation CDL A Hazmat/Tank Truck Drivers Earn Up to $140,000 per Year and Home Weekly!

  • Hazmat and Tank Endorsement Required
  • Compensated for All Time Worked
  • .77 CPM
  • Hourly rate: $33 for hours on duty, not driving
  • Terminal Locations:
    Rock Island, IL, Channahon, IL, Oregon, OH and Hermitage, PA
  • Home Weekly
  • Paid time off (funeral, paid sick leave, paid time off, holiday, jury duty if selected): $33 per hour/8 hours a day
  • Layover pay (if the driver is out overnight): $35 per night to help with any expenses for the overnight stay
  • Drivers get training pay and new hires get paid a flat hourly rate during training. Once they are done training and driving independently, they will go to mileage pay.
  • Experienced ICC company drivers who train new hires will also get paid an additional hourly rate for training.

Requirements:

  • Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tank Endorsement Required.
  • Minimum 3 years Recent Verifiable CDL A Driving Experience Required
  • Clean MVR and background
  • TWIC Preferred
  • Valid Passport Preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the transportation department to support, update, provide advice, and develop strategies regarding transportation departmental issues.
  • To comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and the Hazardous Materials Regulations.
  • Maintain a current driver's record of duty status while keeping dispatch informed of your available hours of service and personal status.
  • Maintain and provide accurate and complete records for the transportation department (payroll, receipts, etc.).
  • Ensure manifests (bill of ladings) are accurate and complete, as these are used for the transportation and distribution of products.
  • Ensure that the company vehicles are kept in safe operating condition by performing pre-trip inspections, post-trip inspections, and driver's vehicle inspection reports (DVIR), among other things.
  • Maintain the Personal Protective Equipment and all other assigned equipment/fittings to perform the job.
  • Function as the backup resource during emergencies, supporting other staff.
  • Attend the Driver Safety Meetings.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the assigned truck
