Traylor Bros., Inc. has an opening for a Project Manager - Post Tensioning at 15015 East Freeway B, Channelview, Texas 77530. 40 hrs/wk; 9am - 5pm; M-F.

Confers with, and directs, supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning/executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays; directs activities of workers on projects for construction of bridges, locks, dams, underground tunnel systems, etc.; manages multiple labor crews and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this group which includes craft employee union/non-union and subcontractors;

studies specifications to plan procedures for construction based on starting and completion times, as well as staffing requirements for each phase of construction; inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adheres to construction schedules; procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules; interviewing, hiring, safety training and orientation of new employees;

planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; coordinates with supervisory, engineering, inspection, and supplier personnel to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods; prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used, costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports; evaluates the current erection work plans and provide guidance on means and methods;

provide guidance on organizational structure for the execution of post‑tensioning; provides guidance to field engineers on the safety aspects as it relates to segmental erection and post‑tensioning; develop strategic plans for the efficient execution of post‑tensioning; participates initiatives to increase companies self‑perform Post Tensioning; and estimates post tensioning work, and aids in finding new projects.

12 years of experience in post‑tensioning management or construction management position. Experience must include post tensioning, cable stay erecting, seismic anchoring, and segmental construction.
