Company Overview:

Join our close-knit team at a leading distribution and manufacturing company in Channelview. We are a small, dynamic organization seeking a hands-on Controller to manage our financial operations and drive process improvements.

This role offers the chance to work closely with our operations team and contribute directly to our company's success.

Position Summary:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, performing margin variance analysis, and providing actionable insights for business growth. This role requires a strong understanding of Quick Books and a collaborative approach to working with the operations team.

Controller Responsibilities:

+ Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

+ Analyze and report on margin variances and provide insights to improve profitability.

+ Collaborate closely with operations to ensure accurate financial data and support strategic decision-making.

+ Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

+ Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

+ Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.

+ Support the annual audit process and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.

Requirements

Controller Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ CPA designation preferred.

+ Manufacturing Cost Experience

+ 5+ years of accounting experience, with a background in distribution, piping, or related industries a plus.

+ Strong experience with Quick Books and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

+ Proven ability to conduct variance analysis and provide data-driven insights.

+ Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
