Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Machine Operator
The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
This includes repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
Technician will also remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, forklifts, hand, and power tools.
Must be able to fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment such as lathes and mills, and welders.
Maintenance Technician will install new equipment in the plant as necessary and perform basic electrical work such as resetting drives, changing motors, locking out/tagging machines, starting up plant machinery, and testing their performance.
They will follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
Qualifications- A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing is preferred, which can be acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
- Prior industrial manufacturing experience is required.
- Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and record daily logs and update necessary departments.
- Ability to operate lift truck, boom lift, and scissors lift.
- BASIC MATH SKILLS TO USE MICROMETERS, SCALES, LEVELS, AND TAPE MEASURES.
- BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS TO ENTER WORK ORDERS ON MAINTENANCE CONNECTION AND COMMUNICATE WITH TEAM MEMBERS & MANAGEMENT.
- Prior welding experience is preferred.
- TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES TO OPERATE HAND, POWER, AND PNEUMATIC TOOLS.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to trace problems on machines using accepted maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Must be able to anticipate, evaluate, and consider the consequences of various actions.
- Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions; digital screens operate machines, trace machinery problems by sight.
- Demonstrate good job attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Shift: 1st with the ability to rotate and be on call when needed. 7 am to 5 pm. Open to working weekends, overtime and holidays.
Pay: negotiable based on proven experience.
