This position is accountable for ensuring a balanced workload on the shop floor in Base Shop by coordinating Turbo Fab's production schedule and directing the activities of Planners, Schedulers, and Expeditors to meet customer schedules and delivery dates.
Nature and ScopeThis position reports to the Bases Mfg. Manager. Position has direct responsibility for scheduling activities to meet customer schedules, interfaces with Turbo Fab's Managers, Supervisors, Leads, Planners, Expeditors plus customer engineering departments.
Job Duties /ResponsibilitiesJob Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Comply with all of Turbo Fab's EHS Programs, Regulations and Guidelines and values.
- Maintains base production schedule.
- Leads daily meetings and updates production status board.
- Coordinates "OV" outside vendor schedules.
- Responsible for generating travelers and routers for sub-component areas in production.
- Distributes drawings, routers, and travelers throughout the shop floor utilizing visual boards.
- Ensures floor stock inventory is maintained to ensure all parts are available to build the bases.
- Addresses any engineering issues and revisions received from engineering. Works closely with Planners and communicates this information utilizing the issue/discrepancy board.
- Addresses and resolves production material issues, such as, material out of specification, damaged, and/or missing.
Required Qualifications:
• Thorough knowledge of shop practices, methods, processes and capabilities. Familiar with all base operation processes.
• Over five years of experience in a supervisory capacity in the base shop.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft office.
• Working knowledge and familiarity with the Baan system.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must work with minimal supervision
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Summary Pay Range: $28.57 - $42.85
