Responsibilities
- Responsible for tracking, coordinating, and supporting regulatory inspections, safety equipment compliance, and training requirements across Centerline Gulf coast operations.
- Ensure vessels maintain current certifications, safety‑critical equipment is serviced and replaced on schedule.
- Ensure all relevant parties are coordinated and informed.
- Maintain a comprehensive tracking system for USCG inspections, ABS/BV class surveys, drydock and special surveys, and other regulatory events across the Gulf Coast.
- Manage and attend regulatory inspections including tracking dates and preparing for inspections.
- Issue advance notice to operations, dispatch, port engineers, and vessel crews for upcoming inspections and renewals.
- Ensure all vessel paperwork is current prior to inspections; review documentation for accuracy.
- Track inspection findings, deficiencies, and conditions of class.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure corrective actions are addressed on time.
- Track scheduled service and inspection of safety equipment.
- Maintain training records and generate compliance reports for leadership as needed.
- Five or more years of experience in a maritime compliance, regulatory, or marine operations role.
- Direct experience with USCG and classification society inspection processes required.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of USCG inspection processes, COI requirements, ABS/BV survey frameworks, Subchapter M, and vessel safety equipment regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CMMS platforms (eMaint or similar) preferred.
- Strong written communication skills; able to draft clear, professional regulatory correspondence.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent deadlines without missing critical dates.
- Self‑motivated and persistent in following up with internal and external stakeholders without requiring repeated direction.
- Must handle sensitive regulatory and operational information with discretion.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- TWIC card required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Demonstrates expertise in maritime compliance and regulatory processes, with a strong focus on USCG inspections, ABS/BV survey frameworks, and vessel safety equipment regulations. Proficient in managing documentation, coordinating inspections, and generating compliance reports while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
