Warehouse Person - Channelview, Texas (Job Number: 559185)

Pay rate from $18.00 to $22.00, no per diem, 40‑hour work week.

• Receives material coming into the warehouse by vendors, customers, or returning from projects accurately and promptly.
• Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking items received against the packing list.
• Prepares a receiving report if none is available.
• Examines incoming shipments for damaged items and appropriately reports/records any discrepancies.
• Accurately places materials on shelves, in racks, or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Assembles and fills orders to be shipped to projects or vendors.
• Reviews all requisitions to determine if they were picked correctly.
• Ensures warehouse cleanliness is maintained on a regular basis.
• Safely operates all necessary equipment in the work area.

• Can identify items by size, type, style, color, or manufacturer.
• Solid reading skills—must be able to read requisitions for materials to be shipped.
• Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
• Can understand and execute instructions.
• General understanding of the warehouse and footprint.
• Can operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar‑coding equipment, handheld devices, or computers if necessary.
