General Ledger Accountant

Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 + Bonus

Location: Northern VA

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end and year-end close across multiple client accounts
• Prepare balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Produce financial statements (P&L, balance sheet)
• Support audit processes (internal, external, regulatory)
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and FAR regulations
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
• Work directly with clients in a consulting / outsourced accounting model

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of general ledger / full-cycle accounting experience
• Experience in a government contracting (Gov Con) environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and FAR regulations
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar Gov Con systems (Unanet, Quick Books, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• S. Citizenship required due to government contracting requirements
• Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
  Experience working in an outsourced accounting or multi-client environment
