Billing Specialist

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and supporting the finance team with billing and revenue-related activities. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of billing experience, strong attention to detail, and hands-on experience using Unanet.

• Prepare, review, and process client invoices accurately and on time
• Manage billing cycles and ensure invoices comply with contract terms
• Review and reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve client billing questions
• Maintain accurate billing records in Unanet
• Partner with project managers and accounting staff to ensure billing accuracy
• Support month-end close activities related to billing and revenue recognition
• Track outstanding invoices and assist with collections as needed
• Ensure billing practices follow company policies and applicable government contracting requirements
• Assist with other finance and accounting projects as needed

• 3+ years of professional billing experience
• Hands-on experience with Unanet is required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial data
• Solid understanding of billing, invoicing, and reconciliation processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with government contracting billing is a plus
