Bluebird Staffing has partnered with a leading multidisciplinary design firm specializing in civil engineering, site planning, land surveying, and landscape architecture to identify an experienced Unanet A/E Billing Manager to join its accounting team on-site in Chantilly, VA.
Reporting to the CFO, the Billing Manager will supervise staff members (currently consisting of two billing accountants and one accounts receivable/collections accountant), as well as participate directly in the monthly billing process.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Set up new projects in Unanet A/E including general information, budgets and billing terms.
- Save and organize new project contracts, additional work authorizations and other billing-related correspondence in Gordon’s project contract database.
- Generate draft invoices (pre-bills) and WIP reports on a monthly basis; distribute to project managers.
- Process and post invoices based on pre-bill mark-ups received from project managers; send invoices to clients in accordance with contract billing instructions.
- When required, prepare special client-requested invoice formats or input invoices into client’s vendor management system.
- Process billing adjustments and void/reissue invoices as necessary.
- Generate various post-billing reports for management.
- Supervise close-out procedures after a project is completed.
- Periodically update project number database on Gordon intranet.
- Advise and assist accounts receivable/collections accountant as necessary.
- Provide staff training and guidance as necessary.
- Execute other ad hoc reports and tasks as requested by the CFO and executive management.
- Previous supervisory experience in billing/accounting
- Advanced experience with Unanet A/E billing
- Hands-on experience with Unanet A/E project setup and maintenance
- Experience reporting directly to a CFO or senior financial leadership
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
- Experience with Deltek Vision billing is a plus.
- $85,000–$95,000 annually
, based on qualifications and experience.
