Overview
The Civilian Personnel Support Specialist (CIVPERS) provides civilian personnel administration, workforce management, and HR operations support to U.S. Space Force and national security space organizations.
Responsibilities
Civilian Personnel Administration
- Provide civilian personnel and HR administrative support to leadership and staff.
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, staffing support, awards packages, personnel documentation, and workforce tracking.
- Maintain personnel records, staffing trackers, organizational charts, and workforce reports.
- Assist with hiring coordination, interview scheduling, and personnel package routing.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, suspense actions, and administrative support requirements.
- Support manpower reporting, staffing data calls, and workforce accountability activities.
- Prepare correspondence, memoranda, executive summaries, and staffing packages.
- Interface professionally with civilian, military, contractor, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, DoD, Department of the Air Force, and U.S. Space Force guidance.
- Support workforce visibility, personnel tracking, and process improvement initiatives.
- Handle sensitive personnel information with discretion and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience supporting civilian personnel administration, HR operations, or workforce management within the federal government or DoD.
- Experience supporting DoD, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, Intelligence Community, or related organizations.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Experience supporting national security space organizations or headquarters environments.
- Familiarity with civilian personnel workflows, manpower reporting, and federal administrative procedures.
- Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams.
