About the Department:The Division for Enrollment Management, as a part of the Office ofthe Provost at George Mason University, supports student recruitment, retention, and success. We develop and implement strategic enrollment management plans, create and facilitate processes, and inform policies that guide students through their academic journey from recruitment to post-matriculation. Driven bya commitment to transparent, data-informed decision-making, the Division advances institutional enrollment goals through collaboration, innovation and a student-centered approach.
The Office of Admissions facilitates the recruitment and enrollment of freshman, transfer, graduate, and non-degree students in alignment with the University’s strategic plan, ensuring a diverse and successful student body that contributes to the institution’sexcellence and global impact.
About the Position:The Admissions Operations Assistant will serve as needed in avariety of Admissions Operations spaces, rotating to learn eachunits’ roles and responsibilities serving as an agile team member.
This role combines daily office support and professional project work to assist the team. This is an ongoing position, and we are seeking an individual whowill become a long-term team member.
- Supports the daily review of undergraduate freshmen, transfers,graduate, and non-degree domicile statuses;
- Processes supporting domiciliary documentation;
- Processes transcripts or other supporting documentation;
- Reviews undergraduate non-degree admissions applications;
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources and provide information to necessary parties in a timely and professional manner;
- Serves as a back-up graduate processing specialist;
- Provides administrative support to the admissions specialist sand an enhanced customer service experience to our applicants;
- Assists with processing credit by exams and transfer credit equivalencies; and
- Additional responsibilities as assigned to help support the Office of Admissions.

- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Data entry experience;
- Experience with Ellucian Banner software;
Salesforce CRM,and/or TES (Transfer Evaluation System); and - Bilingual.
