About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Entry-Level Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, professional office environment. You’ll work closely with the Purchasing team to support daily operations, vendor communication, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure purchasing accuracy:
    Validate purchase orders, prepare required shipping documentation, and run daily supplier follow-up reports to keep orders on track.
  • Maintain system integrity:
    Update costs and pricing within the ERP system to ensure accurate data based on new price lists received from suppliers.
  • Own the flow of materials:
    Review, organize, and release purchase orders for weekly truckload shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Optimize inventory levels:
    Analyze system-generated purchase recommendations against inventory on hand, historical usage, and demand to maintain the right balance of supply.
  • Collaborate across teams:
    Build strong, productive relationships with suppliers and internal partners to resolve issues and support business needs.
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of purchasing & inventory processes— Hands‑on experience supporting purchasing activities and maintaining inventory accuracy within a business or distribution environment.
  • Technology proficiency— Comfortable using MS Excel, ERP systems, and emerging digital tools to support purchasing and inventory workflows.
  • Education & experience — Minimum of 2+ years of related professional experience in purchasing and operations

Fulltime, Onsite

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

$25/hr converting to $60,000-$70,000 (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity)
