The Space and Intelligence Division provides professional services to the US Space Force, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and NASA. The Division’s work includes enterprise architectural assessments, systems engineering and integration, test, planning, and execution, cost estimating and analysis, acquisition support, and cybersecurity. Trusted partners developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging high‑priority needs, assessing cutting‑edge technologies, and supporting capabilities for national defense.
The Intelligence Programs Group (IPG) is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the space and national intelligence community, supporting agencies such as the NGA, NRO, and NASA.
Future Need for a Senior Contracting Officer.
Responsibilities- Act as a business advisor, providing expertise on acquisition strategies, contract types, market research, and contracting methods, including sole source and competitive procedures.
- Prepare acquisition‑related documents (e.g., Acquisition Research Center (ARC) postings, Acquisition Plans, and Contract Review Panel briefings).
- Conduct continuous compliance reviews and resolve contract performance issues.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Contracting Officer's Technical Representatives (COTRs), and Contracting Officers (COs) to provide daily financial and business management support.
- Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and source‑selection processes.
- Identify and implement efficiencies to improve contract operations, documentation, and compliance.
- Develop and present contract‑related recommendations to management, including resource allocations and corrective actions.
- Active TS/SCI and current polygraph (please discuss specific polygraph requirements with an SPA Talent Acquisition professional).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in federal acquisition or contract management with a focus on pre‑award and post‑award processes.
- Competency in contract management tools, reporting systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Reports to Chantilly up to full‑time, based upon the needs of the client.
- Five or more years of experience in federal acquisition or contract management with a strong understanding of FAR and DFARS.
- Expertise in acquisition planning, proposal evaluation, cost/price analysis, and proficiency with contract management tools and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of government budgetary processes and financial management as it relates to contracts.
