Plans and Strategy Lead (contingent position based upon contract award)

K ’s National Security Solutions team seeks a highly motivated, career-oriented professional to shape the long‑range operational vision, strategic direction, and mission planning framework for a Space Operations Center. The role ensures that the organization is poised to meet current and emerging space mission demands by integrating strategic guidance, operational concepts, and enterprise priorities into actionable plans.

• Apply broad expertise to joint planning processes and COCOM processes to evolve IC participation and input into daily operations.
• Focus on the quality of the training the exercises provide and the follow‑on implementation of that training into procedures, orders, plans, tools, and crew qualification products.
• Lead the design and optimization of defense systems that support national security and shape the future of space defense.

• Master’s Degree plus 11 years of relevant space domain awareness / operations experience, or
  
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 12 years of relevant experience, or
  
  • No Degree plus 14 years of relevant experience.
• 7 years combined experience in IC and/or DOD exercises and planning processes.
• 2 years combined relevant operations floor and/or project management experience working with other IC organizations and Combatant Commands.
• Active TS/SCI with Poly required to be considered.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform contract tasks independently and lead teams.

Basic: $191,100 – $233,600 (Virginia area only). Salary based on selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

Additional:
Possible bonuses, commissions, sign‑on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term and long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance as per internal policy.
