Skillforce is seeking Construction Laborers to support the successful completion of construction projects in the Northern Virginia area. This position involves assisting skilled tradespeople, preparing and cleaning construction sites, and handling materials and equipment to ensure smooth workflow.
Pay: $18-20/HR (Depending on experience)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Previous experience in construction or a related labor-intensive field.
- Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of construction site layout and terminology.
- Certification in OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Construction Safety Training.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Assist with loading and unloading construction materials and equipment.
- Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazards.
- Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and masons as needed.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Transport materials to designated areas on the construction site.
- Help with site measurements and layout under supervision.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project needs are met.
