Position SummaryHenderson Building Solutions is seeking a Regional Director Mission Critical to join our team in Washington, D.C.
As Regional Director, you oversee all construction managers, site superintendents, and commissioning staff in the mission‑critical business unit. You have financial responsibility for the region, managing budget, profit and cost projections as defined by the Vice President. You ensure internal management processes are deployed, benchmarks are met, and client contacts are cultivated to grow the business unit. Your responsibilities include establishing best practices in scheduling, scope‑of‑work production, Procore implementation and other forecasting benchmarks;
you hold construction and commissioning staff accountable and drive a best‑in‑class client experience.
- Direct the activities of all construction managers, site superintendents, and commissioning managers in the region.
- Plan and set construction objectives, goals, methods, schedules and strategies.
- Ensure projects are deployed safely, timely and profitably, and that all invoices are collected.
- Report on project financial budget status and progress to the Vice President.
- Stay up to date on best practices and recommend practice or policy changes or enhancements.
- Develop and maintain client‑specific standards and processes.
- Implement necessary changes.
- Coordinate with design teams to take projects from assessment (schematic) to construction‑document completion.
- Recommend feasibility of systems and/or equipment, evaluate construction products and methods.
- Identify and coordinate with external consultants to ensure projects are comprehensive.
- Schedule design‑related activities and review plans to meet standards.
- Assemble and finalize contractual and general requirements of construction documents with pre‑construction services.
- Coordinate with pre‑construction to incorporate client requirements into construction documents.
- Assist in developing accurate budgets for all projects.
- Implement contract documents in the best interests of the company.
- Ensure a safe and efficient work environment for staff and subcontractors.
- Verify all teams and supporting personnel meet OSHA, Henderson, client and industry safety standards.
- Provide leadership for assessment teams, schedule, coordinate and review site visits, reports and budgets.
- Perform on‑site investigations, troubleshoot issues, identify risks and proactively mitigate negative outcomes.
