Job Description Part-Time Contract Job or Paid Internship - Onsite Teacher - Fall 2026 Compensation$50-$85 per single class shift, additional for multi class shifts (2.5-5 hour shifts)
About UsCyber Teck Academy is a company offering after-school and Summer camp services with a focus on computer science and game design for students grades 1st-7th. We are doing business with hundreds of schools in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
TrainingNo previous experience is required. PAID TRAINING and curricula are provided. Training will start in August 2026 & work will follow afterwards.
AvailabilityOnly a minimum of 2 days of availability per week is required.
LocationsTeach technology classes at schools in one (or more) of the following VA/MD/DC counties/cities:
- Loudoun
- Fairfax
- Prince William
- DC
- Montgomery
- Howard
- Frederick
Shift hours between 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm.
Prince William LocationsShift hours between 1:00 pm-5:00 pm; shifts lasting approximately 3.5 hours.
Saturday Classes8:15am-11am US EST or 9:45am-12pm US EST.
Maryland LocationsMontgomery County shift hours 2:45-6:45 US EST (as many days as possible). Howard County shift hours 1:30-5:30 US EST.
DC Location4001 Calvert St NW, Washington, DC. Must be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays; hours 2 pm - 6 pm. Start: week of Feb 9 till May. Paid Training before then.
TransportationMUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE to transport company laptops and related equipment.
Duties- Pick up equipment from local facility and travel to assigned school.
- Show up on time.
- Set up laptops and related equipment for 8-12 children.
- Teach Minecraft Programming, Game Design, Animation, and/or Lego Robotics classes.
- Ensure students safely leave with appropriate parents or staff.
- Familiar with video and/or computer games.
- Enjoys working with and teaching kids between 5 and 14 years of age.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work well independently.
- Must be able to pass a criminal and sex offender background check.
- Some experience with basic programming, Minecraft, Lego Robotics, or any 3D modeling software (preferred but not required).
- Some child-care, teaching and/or tutoring experience (preferred but not required).
This is a paid internship or part-time seasonal contract position. Paid training will be available for new employees the first month of each season.
