Job Summary

  • Salaried position at $120,000 annually, paid on a weekly basis; includes health, dental, and vision coverage from the first day.
  • Full‑time on‑site placement at a single Alpha campus in one of the following locations:
Beverly Hills, La Jolla (San Diego), Lake Forest (Orange County), Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay (LA), Greenwich, CT, Boca Raton or Miami Beach, FL, Chicago, IL, Boston, MA, Charlotte, NC, or New York City, NY (relocation assistance available).
  • 40 hours per week, 100% classroom‑based with students in grades K‑2.
About the Role

Alpha has redesigning its instructional model so that students complete core academics independently through AI‑adaptive applications. The human role focuses on data‑driven instruction. You create focused 20‑minute small‑group workshops informed by live app analytics, lead daily motivational sessions to keep all students meeting weekly app targets, and adjust instruction in real time based on AI‑generated performance metrics. You also conduct running records, fluency assessments, and decoding probes to provide clear evidence of student progress that feeds into campus data meetings and informs instruction across the network.

What

You Will Be Doing
  • Create small‑group K‑2 literacy workshops based on real‑time adaptive‑app analytics, applying structured‑literacy principles.
  • Lead daily motivational sessions to ensure 100% of students achieve their weekly app targets using Alpha’s system.
  • Analyze AI‑generated student performance metrics to modify instruction during the day.
  • Conduct running records, fluency assessments, and decoding probes to generate progress data for campus meetings.
  • Serve as an engaging, high‑energy adult that K‑2 students look forward to seeing each day.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Implement a commercial reading curriculum or scripted lesson plans; you build lessons directly from student data.
  • Deliver whole‑class lectures; teaching occurs in targeted, small groups while students complete core academics through applications.
  • Act as a reading consultant, instructional coach, or district specialist; you remain in the classroom with students daily.
  • Manage a traditional classroom schedule with subject‑by‑subject lessons, homework check‑ins, or test preparation.
  • Draft IEPs, 504 plans, or formal diagnostic evaluations; student growth is tracked through app analytics and running records.
