We're seeking a full-time Instructional Technologist to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate specialized and technical training for our clients. The role involves creating engaging classroom instruction, online learning modules, and experiential activities to support our training missions.

Main Mission
  • Work as part of a team to support a dynamic specialized training program.
  • Conduct consultations with instructors and course directors to determine instructional requirements, needs, and solutions.
  • Manage training design and development projects, including collaborating with technical designers, reporting on progress, and using a database to track projects.
  • Analyze training requirements and design effective, engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning interventions.
  • Document, update, and maintain course lesson plans.
  • Develop and update online training content including WBTs, job aids, videos, podcasts, etc.
  • Conduct training on instruction techniques, facilitate small‑group sessions, and lead discussion in support of course instructors.
  • Integrate technology, including AI tools and solutions, into content and development workflows.
  • Act as a role‑player during training courses.
  • Create new content or improve existing instructor‑led and online content.
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate course/content and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Facilitate small group discussions.
  • Design, administer, and analyze results of training‑related surveys and assessments.
  • Provide reporting on training activities as required.
  • Execute diplomacy while working with various team levels, managers, and customers to identify requirements and develop action plans.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with AV, IT, instructors, and production teams to accomplish tasks and complete projects.
  • Coordinate resources, prioritize activities, and ensure quality, timely products.
  • Utilize a project tracking tool and weekly meetings to track, communicate, and manage all tasks to ensure completion before due dates.
  • Archive projects per office‑designated standards.
  • Adhere to customer security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Possess a current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 12 years of relevant work experience (10+ with Master’s). Preferred degrees in adult learning, education, online learning, or computer science with instructional design experience.
  • Ability to learn technical skills and teach them to others.
  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods.
  • Experience with ADDIE model or equivalent, and adult learning theories.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts to analyze requirements and develop engaging content.
  • Strategy development for various learning types and delivery on multiple platforms.
  • Experience developing online training and learning tools, differentiating between online and instructor‑led training.
  • Knowledge of accessible design concepts and ADA compliance.
  • Project initiation, execution, and completion expertise.
  • Self‑starter, highly organized, capable of setting schedules for self and others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to craft professional content across formats.
  • Ability to work independently, in teams, and across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with handling intellectual property and copyright materials.
  • Experience with project tracking mechanisms or LMS to coordinate projects.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Lectora, Adobe, HTML, and other programming languages; understanding ADA‑compliant training.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Desired Skills
  • Master’s degree in adult learning, education, or online learning.
  • Programming experience in HTML, Python, Java, JavaScript, or related languages.
  • Fundamental data literacy skills.
  • Experience delivering high‑quality classroom instruction aligned with course objectives.
  • Relevant certifications (instructor, facilitator, MBTI, etc.).
  • Experience creating content in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Copy editing for print or screen publications.
