K  is seeking a Modeling And Simulation Engineer with in-depth knowledge of satellite relevancy to Department of War and the Intelligence Community unique missions to be part of our team supporting our customer in Chantilly, VA that delivers mission-critical capabilities directly supporting intelligence-gathering missions from overhead systems.  We lead architectural assessments and report recommendations to senior US Government personnel guiding acquisition and execution of next-generation SIGINT systems needs for the next 10-20 years.  

These systems deliver collected data distributed to US Government Intelligence Community and Military users.

The Modeling And Simulation Engineer serves as a technical advisor to support the Government with performing analysis on complex space systems needs for the intelligence and DoD communities.  The SIGINT leadership team embraces innovation in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decision-makers.  This is a position of trust advising the US Government and supporting critical missions in SIGINT, COMINT, FISINT, and ELINT.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Supports mission analysis assessments and studies for the Program Office
* Coordinates assessments HIVE architecture impacts, architecture trades, and architecture performance assessments with the Enterprise, Chief Architect, Chief Engineer, and Program Office
* Manages development, test, and validation of systems assessment methodologies and tools such as STK, SOAP, MATLAB, and potentially organically developed software
* Analysis of space systems, performance metrics, timelines, and models
* Support orbital analysis, including threats assessments/impacts, trades, and analyses
* Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges
* Generate and maintain technical documentation and reports

*** Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
* Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)
* 5+ years of Customer experience
* Detailed understanding of government satellite systems
* Insight into SIGINT mission fundamentals, and ability to perform analysis on complex space systems
* Knowledge of satellite relevancy to Department of War and the Intelligence Community unique missions
* Solid understanding of Signals Intelligence satellite systems and architectures
* Experience in Matlab, Python or similar
* Understanding of operational environment and corresponding mission user needs
* Knowledge of system engineering
** Desired:
*** Advanced degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline.
