BT-209 – Infrastructure Engineer

Chantilly, VA (fully on-site, no remote option)

• Manage and maintain critical infrastructure that supports a data center environment, including servers, networks, and storage systems to ensure performance and reliability.
• Configure and manage Cisco switches and firewalls, and work with HPE and Dell servers to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Handle advanced storage systems (Dell, HPE, and Pure Storage NAS), ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Manage copper and fiber cabling to ensure efficient connectivity across the infrastructure.
• Apply expertise in power and cooling capacity management to estimate and optimize resource utilization within the data center.
• Create detailed diagrams mapping server racks, physical connections, and network layouts using Visio or DrawIO, and provide clear documentation for current and future infrastructure planning.
• Leverage a strong background in data center operations with hands-on experience in hardware and network configurations.
• Familiarity with industry best practices for cabling, power distribution, and cooling systems to excel in the role.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of managing complex infrastructure environments and a deep understanding of enterprise-grade hardware and networking solutions.
• Exposure to Cisco networking equipment, HPE and Dell hardware, and advanced storage solutions to support reliability and scalability of the datacenter.

• Experience in a data center environment and strong background in data center operations
• Experience in power and cooling capacity management
• Hands-on experience with hardware and network configurations
• Proven track record of managing complex infrastructure environments and a deep understanding of enterprise-grade hardware and networking solutions
