Job Summary The Aerospace Corporation is hiring an Enterprise Systems Engineer for the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) in the Enterprise Effects Division (EED). This is an onsite opportunity in Chantilly, Virginia. The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a wide-ranging and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges.

EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities. As part of the Enterprise Design Subdivision (EDS), the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) drives responsive and comprehensive trades in customer portfolios. Working closely with corporate program offices PAD delivers portfolio decision insights that expand options for senior leaders and accelerates delivery of end effects.

PAD integrates expertise , system analysis and design capabilities from across the corporation. We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Systems Engineer to support a variety east coast Intelligence Community customers . This position will be required to work full-time on-site at Aerospace's Chantilly , VA location. What You'll Be Doing
* Provide enterprise engineering and analytical support to government intelligence community customers in portfolio management , digital engineering, and system-of-systems engineering
* Engage directly with Aerospace program office personnel as well as government customers
* Support the deployment or implementation of existing tools , models, and frameworks
* Identify new capabilities and enhancements that will better support the customer programs and architectures
* Initiate studies designed to solve complex problems and provide new and innovative technical solutions
* Take initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action
* Utilize Aerospace resources, teams, and expertise on the effective use of MBSE methodologies, modeling languages, and tools
* Initiate and lead studies designed to solve technical problems to provide recommendations to the customer
* Leverage Aerospace's technical backplane to provide tailored , technical support and innovative solutions for customer-specific use cases
* Provide ongoing technical consultation and advice to management, customers, and contractors
* Provide mentoring and oversight to early career staff, as necessary
* Occasional travel may be required What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Engineer ing Specialist - Enterprise Systems Engineering
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline
* Minimum of 8 years of increasingly responsible experience in systems engineering or other space-related engineering disciplines
* Proficient with MBSE modeling languages such as System Modeling Language ( SysML ) and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and SparX Enterprise Architecture
* Experience with architecture frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework ( DoDAF ) or the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
* Take i nitiative, have flexibility , and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent interpersonal skills and well adept at oral and written communication
* Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
* Available and willing to travel domestically , approx. 5-10%
* Active TS// SCI security clearance with CI polygraph In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Senior Engineer ing Specialist - Enterprise Systems Engineering include :
* Minimum of 12 years of increasingly responsible experience in systems engineering or other space- related engineering disciplines
* Leadership experience in enterprise systems engineering, enterprise design and/or model-based systems engineering
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with employees, customers, program offices, and contractors
* Demonstrated ability to identify problem space, assess trade options, and independently formulate courses of action
* Experience working with space system requirements documents such as CDDs and ICDs
