Position: Expert System Engineer with Security Clearance
We're hiring an Expert Systems Engineer to help drive innovation and integration across some of the most critical national geospatial intelligence systems. In this role, you'll support mission success by shaping and aligning complex technical solutions across multi-agency environments-including the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and key federal stakeholders. This is an opportunity to operate at the highest technical level-providing senior guidance, leading multi-disciplinary efforts, and integrating enterprise-scale solutions that matter.

What You'll Do
* Lead and coordinate technical efforts across requirements engineering, solution design, scheduling, testing, integration, and long-term sustainment for NSG/ASG and other federal systems.
* Advise on system improvements and tech integration strategies, helping steer architecture and acquisition decisions.
* Guide systems-level planning, including risk management, performance engineering, and interface design.
* Support analysis and traceability of user requirements, system architecture, and cloud-based workflow limitations.
* Translate mission and user needs into actionable system requirements and scalable solutions.
* Participate in and lead efforts such as Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Action (CoA) development, and trade studies.
* Perform systems integration activities across hybrid cloud, on-prem, and distributed architectures.
* Offer expert-level input on vision, planning, and capability development that spans across national and agency lines.
* Provide technical oversight and mentorship to teams of junior, mid-, and senior-level systems engineers. What You'll Bring
* Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

* Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field
* At least 18 years of experience in systems engineering
* Expertise in DoD/IC acquisition, requirements processes, PPBES, and complex enterprise architectures
* Deep understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and large-scale solution environments (cloud, hybrid, on-premise) Bonus Points For
* Master's degree or higher in a STEM or engineering discipline
* INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification
* Licensure as a Professional Engineer
* Certifications in Software Development Frameworks
* Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and languages
* Background in photogrammetry, remote sensing, or image science
* Expertise in cloud-based architectures (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and AI/automation technologies
* Experience with structured and unstructured Big Data
* Membership or leadership in professional organizations like USGIF, ASPRS, ASCE, OGC, SAREM, etc.
* Hands-on experience with NSG/ASG, NRO, or NGA programs
* Past roles supporting IC or DoD projects
