The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space-enabled mission effects.

The Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department (CMED) in the Integrated Performance Subdivision leads integration and application of modeling and simulation capabilities and modern analysis workflows to support end-to-end effects chain analysis and space and space-enabled campaign modeling. As a member of CMED, you will provide technical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems of systems to investigate architecture and concept of operations (CONOPS) performance in nominal and contested operating environments.

MS&A focus areas include agent-based modeling, red vs blue simulations, military utility and capability drawdown, killchain effectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and command and control (C2) evaluation. We support a variety of customers with diverse program portfolios, and we are looking for curious and innovative teammates to help us address our customers' hardest problems!

This is a full-time, 100% onsite  position  located in either El Segundo, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, or Chantilly, VA.

What You'll Be Doing

* Advancing our software solutions for modeling and simulation applications

* Leveraging modern tech stack and enforcing best practices in modern software development and maintainability

* Assisting in converting programmatic requirements into actionable work

* Work closely with our cross-mission focused program offices and customers to translate their program needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks.

* Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers.

* Travel occasionally as required.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

* Masters degree from an accredited program in computer science, electrical engineering, optical engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field  (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)

* 0-1 yr experience

* Comfortable working with and following a large code base in C++

* Proficiency with C++, Preferably C++ 20

* Experience with Python

* Projects or coursework in modeling and simulation

* Coursework or project work in at least one of the following: optics, beam control, filtering, multi-in tracking, tasking, mission management, data transport, C2 processes, SIGINT system modeling, kill chain analysis, orbit determination

* Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team and manage multiple simultaneous tasks

* Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* A bias for action and the ability to identify shortcomings and address them with initiative

* This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
