Job Description
Immediate opening for an Analysis Lead Engineer to support the Space Development Agency (SDA) Proliferated Warfighter System Architecture (PWSA) Tranche development. The lead engineer will spearhead Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development and analysis, integrating efforts across the SDA enterprise for a specific mission area such as Link‑16, ground command and control, or tactical user engagement.
The engineer will provide technical input and advice to the Program Manager and/or technical director, support design reviews, integrate analysis results with real‑world test outcomes, develop test procedures, and generate analysis results that evaluate vendor solutions against PWSA architecture requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Modeling, simulation, and analysis of satellite and ground segment systems.
- Evaluating complex architectures with MS&A tools.
- Verifying and validating requirements through modeling, simulation, or analysis that augment or replace development and/or operational testing.
- Problem‑solving to identify and respond to system gaps proactively.
- Working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Communicating findings orally and in writing.
- Leading performance analysis efforts across the enterprise.
- Establishing warfighter‑based requirements.
- Verifying enterprise‑level requirements through analysis.
- Validating system performance based on developmental and operational testing results.
- Conducting quick‑turn analyses to support external engagements and the front office.
- Providing input on updates to the M&S toolset.
- Modeling critical mission areas such as missile warning, missile tracking, missile defense, kill chains, and communications systems and networks.
- Managing a distributed team across multiple organizations and translating M&S results to actionable decision briefings for senior management.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with complex modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.
- Strong experience in requirements development and tracking.
- Technical and analytical understanding of satellite and ground system interaction.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environments with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Master’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- 12 years of experience with satellite fire‑control systems.
- Experience with DoD and/or IC customers.
- Experience with AFSIM, Python, and/or STK.
- Current experience with space systems.
