As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be implementing processes and procedures and collaborating to deliver leading edge electronics that are game‑changing and impactful to our nation's defense. - Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve throughput
- Conduct time studies and capacity analysis to optimize production flow
- Troubleshoot quality issues and implement Root Cause/Corrective Actions (RCCA)
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to establish inspection criteria and acceptance standards
- Evaluate and qualify new tools, equipment, and fixtures
- Interface with Design Engineering to provide manufacturing feasibility feedback
- Identify automation opportunities to enhance productivity
- Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in electronics assembly or similar environment
- Electromechanical assembly experience in a production environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Six Sigma green belt certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Understanding of electrical/electronic testing procedures and equipment
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems, Oracle, Agile
PDM, Digithread, Jira, Confluence - Strong data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab, or statistical software)
- Familiarity with IPC standards and industry quality requirements
- Constantly move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
- Specific abilities required by the job include positioning oneself to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Constant movement and use of limbs.
- Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and frequently pinching and/or gripping.
- Sometimes, working under a microscope for long periods of time will be required.
- Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information.
- Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Requires good manual dexterity/coordination, and stamina.
