Required Qualifications Education & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related technical/STEM field including Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline
- 4 additional years' of equivalent junior-level Systems Engineering experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience in government or industry environments
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly
- Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, tools, and languages
- Familiarity with Software Development Frameworks and modern system development practices
- Experience supporting cloud-enabled or distributed enterprise systems environments
Junior-level Systems Engineers support the design, analysis, integration, and sustainment of enterprise systems across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agency environments. Working alongside senior engineers and government stakeholders, this role contributes to systems engineering activities that support reliable, resilient, and mission-critical GEOINT capabilities across complex system-of-systems architectures.
This position supports requirements analysis, systems integration, technical planning, and engineering assessments within cloud-enabled and distributed environments to help ensure timely and accurate mission operations.
Key Responsibilities Systems Engineering & Integration- Support systems engineering activities across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agency environments
- Assist with requirements engineering, systems integration, test and evaluation, reliability, resiliency, and maintainability efforts
- Support the analysis and allocation of requirements across systems architecture components and programs
- Assist in performing systems integration activities across enterprise environments
- Assist with capturing and translating mission and customer requirements into technical solutions and system capabilities
- Support requirements traceability, architecture analysis, workflow evaluation, and scheduling assessments
- Contribute to solution designs based on operational requirements and emerging technologies
- Assist with cloud service capability assessments and system improvement initiatives
- Support Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Action (CoA) evaluations, trade studies, and engineering assessments
- Assist with strategic technical planning, project coordination, risk management, and interface design activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams and government stakeholders to support mission objectives and enterprise modernization efforts
This role is ideal for an early-career systems engineer with a strong technical foundation and an interest in supporting complex, mission-critical enterprise environments. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and eager to develop experience across systems engineering, integration, and enterprise architecture within the GEOINT and Intelligence Community mission space.
