We are seeking a Sr. Water Resources Project Manager to lead and deliver a variety of water resources projects, including stormwater management, floodplain analysis, and dam safety. This role involves managing high-profile projects for municipal, state, federal, and private sector clients, from large mixed‑use developments to targeted infrastructure improvements.

The Sr. Water Resources Project Manager will guide a team of engineers and project managers, ensuring all deliverables meet technical and regulatory standards. This includes developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets; directing design efforts; reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic models; and preparing permit applications and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead water resources projects from planning through construction.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for designs, reports, and permits.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and team workloads.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines, external consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and change authorizations.
  • Support business development and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia (or ability to obtain in other states).
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in water resources engineering with team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater management, floodplain regulations, and dam safety.
  • Proficiency with H&H modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, HY-8, Flowmaster).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Arc Map and AutoCAD.
