Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking a digital processing engineer to support a Department of War (DoW) client in Chantilly, VA. Candidates should have technical education, training, and/or expertise in signal processing, Radio Frequency (RF) system engineering, antenna theory and design, antenna array development, Directional Finding (DF) methodologies, and/or associated field applications such as calibration, multi‑path mitigation, and accuracy optimization. Successful candidates will leverage their digital processing engineering background to support rapid prototyping capabilities in support of the DoW with operational experience in signals intelligence, electronic warfare, and tactical communications.

Responsibilities
  • Assist government Program Managers (PMs) in development and execution across the program lifecycle (concept development to service transition)
    • Support acquisition strategy development and execution
    • Develop and maintain program schedules, milestone trackers, and risk management frameworks
    • Coordinate performer program reviews, technical exchange meetings, and stakeholder working groups
    • Prepare materials for internal program reviews and concept development decision processes
    • Prepare technical and executive briefings for varied audiences internally and externally
  • Ensure program security and protection measures
    • Provide critical program information (CPI) and inputs for program security classification guides (SCGs)
    • Ensure security guidance is propagated and followed by performers and stakeholders throughout the program lifecycle
  • Financial and Contract Management
    • Budget forecasting and allocation to performers
    • Prepare funding requests and associated documents
    • Track obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with financial metrics
    • Prepare and review program documentation such as Statements of Work (SOW), program work statements, and technical requirements documents
    • Track program budget execution, monitor performer spending, and analyze to inform program planning and identify impacts
  • Performer oversight and management
    • Ensure clear communication aligned with government requirements and program milestones
    • Advise performers with program management, planning, and scheduling
    • Manage weekly battle rhythm of TEMs and update calls
    • Plan and manage program reviews
    • Review performer deliverables and provide feedback
  • Test and event planning, oversight, and management
    • Interface with Government POCs for test events and exercises
    • Provide test documentation (plans, cards, checklists, AARs, etc.)
    • Lead planning for test events and exercises
    • Plan and manage security requirements for events (data handling, IATT, physical security)
    • Provide execution oversight during test events
  • Technical & Integration Support
    • Provide technical review, analysis, and clarification on specific areas of expertise
    • Provide general systems engineering oversight and recommendations
    • Assess performer prototype development to inform government decisions
    • Support definition and management of system integration requirements, configuration management, interface control documents (ICDs), and API specifications
    • Support technology demonstrations, pilot programs, and operationally relevant test and evaluation activities
Required Qualifications
  • TS/SCI clearance required with SAP eligibility
  • B.S. in Engineering, Physics, Math or related technology area
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant and practical engineering experience
  • Previous experience with RF/DF and/or DSP engineering
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or related technology area
  • Prior USMC SIGNIT experience
  • Prior experience supporting NSA or relevant experience supporting SIGNIT production chain
Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $150,000 – $200,000 USD. The range is a good‑faith estimate representing all experience levels.
