Our EDGE team—Exceptional Delivery and Growth Engine—operates in a technical environment characterized by deep process and service delivery expertise that sets EY apart in the marketplace.

The Opportunity

In EY's FSO EDGE Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) practice, you will provide comprehensive and specialized tax assistance to meet the distinct needs of the asset management sector. You’ll collaborate with knowledgeable professionals skilled in various aspects of hedge fund, private equity fund, and mutual fund taxation, including organizational structuring, tax minimization strategies, advisory support, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster new and existing client relationships
  • Deliver compliance and consulting services to meet client deadlines
  • Prepare and review complex financial closings and tax compliance filings
  • Evaluate and compile moderately complex data and tax‑related documentation
  • Ensure service quality and understand the risks associated with service delivery
  • Document processes to gain alignment within internal teams
  • Exhibit technical excellence and broaden skill sets across capabilities
  • Provide internal technical support to staff and develop professional relationships
  • Guide and supervise staff members in their day-to-day activities
  • Review the work of staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws
  • Offer formal and informal feedback and coaching to team members
Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Proven ability to identify tax‑related issues and suggest solutions
  • Experience in client interactions within a service delivery context
  • Background in managing teams on tax consulting and compliance projects
  • Ability to apply independent judgment to identify tax planning opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills to break down tax projects into manageable tasks
  • Capacity to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively
  • High level of professional ethics and integrity handling confidential information
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics
  • Minimum of 2‑3 years of relevant tax experience in the financial services sector
  • Broad exposure to federal income taxation and familiarity with state/local tax
  • Excellent teamwork, leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ideally, You'll Also Have
  • Familiarity with the financial services sector
  • CPA, Enrolled Agent, or licensed attorney qualification
