The Aerospace Corporation is the trusted partner to the nation’s space programs, providing unmatched technical expertise across satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems. We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Civil Systems Group (CSG) Financial Management Team.
Responsibilities- Works with Program Directors/Managers and the contracts directorate to maintain cost and schedule baselines and forecasts that meet program and company requirements and are integrated with the contractual Statement of Work (SOW) as included in the Aerospace Requirements Tool (ART) or other program planning documents.
- Tracks indirect budget allocations and direct budget allocations for both expenditures and Program Technical Staff (PTS) labor charges.
- Generates weekly/monthly financial analysis reports, year‑end financial reporting, and ad‑hoc reports.
- Initiates progress reports, task estimating, and budget reviews.
- Informs Group CFO, Program Finance Manager, and Technical Project Managers on financial trends, reporting unit performance, and recommends corrective actions to achieve financial plans.
- Compares and analyzes PTS and financial results with plans and forecasts, identifies trends, assesses, and communicates reliable metrics for management decision‑making.
- Uses data‑driven insights to recommend corrective actions to achieve PTS and financial plans.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 6 or more years of relevant experience in finance or a related analytical field.
- Experience in government contracting with all contract types and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with baseline planning and scheduling, forecasting, risk analysis, and Estimates at Complete (EACs).
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Team‑oriented and detail oriented.
- Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners and influence decisions.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff and all levels of management.
- Ability to work independently; strong interpersonal, problem‑resolution, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize/manage multiple assignments and remain responsive in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with NASA, NOAA, or other civil customers.
- Experience with ERP Accounting systems, SAP, Tableau, Advanced Excel skills, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
Pay range: $33.92 – $50.88 per hour. Pay Basis: hourly.
