K is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Logistics Specialist – Senior to join our team supporting a government client in Virginia.
Responsibilities- Support the Site Supply Chain Manager and Enterprise Program Manager in reviewing business systems administration, resources, procedures, and methods to improve operational effectiveness, utility, and efficiency
- Ensure all site logistics services are delivered, and tasks are performed within established government program guidelines
- Support warehousing and stock management; perform activities to deliver facilities-related and mission support materials, supplies, and equipment for customer-supported sites
- Assist in identifying areas needing process improvement and recommend cost-saving initiatives
- Interface with customers, departments, contractors, and community to satisfy logistics requirements and resolve issues
- Perform requisition, receipt, collection, maintenance, and inventory of property and supplies
- Perform records maintenance and manual work in storing, shelving, and distribution of materials and other inventoried items
- Responsible for pickup, delivery, transfer, receipt and inventorying of supplies and goods as required for efficient operations
- Proficient in managing inventory and maintaining accurate and timely records
- Physical requirements:
occasional bending, lifting up to 70 pounds, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting, walking, occasional exposure to noise, and use of protective equipment
- HS degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
- TS/SCI with polygraph
- Provides guidance to junior team members
- Develops trusted relationships with Government leaders and mission partners
- Flexible systems thinker with the ability to deliver results quickly
- Self-starter with effective time management skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills, written and oral communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of applicable experience
- Industry certifications such as Certified Logistics Associate (CLA), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), etc
- Ability to adapt to multiple mission sets across diverse programs and tasks
