Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Position Summary Waypoint's client is seeking a Contracts Acquisition Specialist to support a critical National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) mission in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will provide post-award acquisition and contract management support for a portfolio of mission-critical network contracts, ensuring contractor performance, compliance, and successful execution throughout the contract lifecycle. The ideal candidate has experience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community acquisition programs and possesses a strong understanding of federal contracting, contract administration, and contractor oversight.
You will work closely with government stakeholders, program managers, contracting personnel, and industry partners to manage contract performance, resolve issues, and ensure mission objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide post-award acquisition and contract oversight for a portfolio of network-related contracts.
* Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract requirements, deliverables, and performance metrics.
* Support oversight of network engineering contracts, transport managed service provider contracts, and industry partner access contracts.
* Coordinate with government contracting officers, program managers, technical teams, and industry partners to resolve contractual and performance issues.
* Assist with contract modifications, performance assessments, risk management, and acquisition planning activities.
* Prepare reports, briefings, and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
* Ensure contract execution aligns with mission objectives, federal acquisition regulations, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
* Active TS/SCI security clearance (CI Polygraph preferred or ability to obtain).
* Bachelor's degree and relevant acquisition, contracting, or program management experience.
* Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community acquisition and contract management activities.
* Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARS, and government contracting processes.
