Senior Level Action Officer

This is a contingent requisition for future efforts. Tasks include:

Leading, developing, and streamlining the Director's Action Group (DAG) support functions

Identifying internal and external issues that may impact the NRO and taking appropriate action as approved by the U.S. Government

Drafting, consolidating, coordinating, and editing executive-level documentation to ensure consistency with organizational strategic objectives; applying an in-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD/IC issues, policies, programs, and procedures affecting the NRO

Making recommendations and preparing briefings, point papers, and other materials based on analysis of complex policy issues and documents

Participating in external committees, Integrated Process Teams (IPTs), working groups, and task forces

Ensuring critical information is disseminated to internal and external agencies including the OSD, ODNI, and mission partner equivalent offices

Performing and maintaining DAG support functions to include recognition programs, training, and security

Managing NRO TIER actions for supported office

Analyzing and assigning or performing actions, as appropriate

Coordinating responses and assessing for accuracy prior to senior management review

Managing and executing the action tracking process, developing standard operating procedures, and serving as facilitator for user requirements

Monitoring progress on actions, generating metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; preparing periodic reports on action status and keeping leadership aware of late, pending, and new actions

Disseminating policy and legislative changes to appropriate parties internal to the NRO

Drafting, proofreading, editing, and providing final review of internal and external correspondence

Coordinating and maintaining presentations for audiences up to the NRO-Level, maintaining a quality control process for all presentations

Participating in DAG-related meetings

Managing records generated during the execution of the Directorate's projects and programs in accordance with Federal Laws and Regulations, as well as NRO Directives and Instructions

Desired Skill Set:

Demonstrated experience in one (1) or more of the following areas: federal acquisitions, DoD or the IC budget and finance processes, and National Security Policy
Demonstrated experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levels
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
Demonstrated experience adapting to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility
Demonstrated experience fostering solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations
Demonstrated experience analyzing situations and making well-informed decisions
Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience

Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or Business related discipline (advanced degree preferred) and target 10 years with any government OR target 7 years within IC or DOD OR Bachelor's Degree in any discipline AND target 12 years within IC or DoD with 6 of those 12 years within NRO.
