Pediatric Medical Assistant

TPG Pediatrics is looking for a FULL TIME Medical Assistant to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. We are a large pediatric practice in Northern Virginia dedicated to excellent patient care. TPG prides itself on providing work-life balance and an opportunity for growth for all its employees. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person. Employee safety is a priority  have daily cleaning procedures in place and provide PPE to include OSHA fit testing for all employees.

• Monday-Friday between 7:15 and 5:30pm
• Once per month rotation in our Saturday clinic (8am-1pm).

Hourly wage differentials are paid for our Saturday morning clinics.

• $21 - $25 based on experience and education.

• Performs general nursing care for patients, including administration of immunizations, antibiotics, and performs treatments under the direction of the providers.
• Ensures established patient medical records are updated according to practice protocol including progress notes, immunization records, and other information are in place and computer templates are used.
• Greets patients and prepares them for the provider’s examination.

• High school diploma/GED required
• 1 year experience preferred, preferably in a pediatric medical group practice

• Competency in operating medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Knowledge required to maintain a safe work environment.
• Skilled in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide patient care.
