IT Systems Engineer Security Clearance

Position: IT Systems Engineer with Security Clearance
MANTECH seek s a motivated, career and customer-oriented IT Systems Engineer to join or team in Chantilly, VA . Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* P rovid ing server/operating system centric knowledge for testing, deploying, integrating, and improving upon new and existing IT capabilities.

* Assisting with recommendations related to understanding operating system dependencies, physical and virtual server environments, integration with infrastructure resources ( e.g. storage and networking), and how to configure operating systems and applications in an efficient manner .

* M aintain ing platforms of common hypervisors and enterprise applications, including collaboration tools, Systems Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) products, directory services, and automation technologies .

* I dentify ing security vulnerabilities, test ing and document ing security-relevant changes, and communicat ing with vendors to assess new technologies .

* Ability to travel domestically.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements .

* In lieu of a Bachelor's:
Associates' degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements .

* Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification ( Security +, SSCP, or equivalent) or ability to obtain one within 180 days.

* Experience writing clear, concise, and user-friendly technical and training manuals or similar documentation to include documents required for A&A IAW ICD 503.

* Experience in Windows administration, active directory administration.

* Experience in administrative scripting languages.

* Experience with integration, deployment, troubleshooting and maintenance of operating systems in a multi domain environment.

* Knowledge and experience with Virtual Infrastructure technologies.

* Experience in all components of Windows and Linux system infrastructure.

* Experience in Local Area Network/Wide Area Network technologies, routers, switches, firewalls; experience with Storage Area Network (SAN), clustering and backup technologies.

* Experience and proficiency with systems engineering concepts, principles and theories and system modeling tools. Desired

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Systems Engineering, or other IT-related discipline. Clearance Requirements:
* Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph .

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

* Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

* Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

* Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
